From the AP: WASHINGTON - Congressional leaders announced a deal with the White House Thursday on an economic stimulus package that would give most tax filers refunds of $600 to $1,200, and more if they have children.
From CNN: WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. taxpayers would get checks of several hundred dollars from the federal government under a plan to stimulate the economy, congressional and Bush administration officials said Thursday.

It looks like I'm going to get a surprise check from the federal government this year. Holla! It looks like George Bush's stimulus plan is on it's way to the people. Even though my sister's response when asked about the newest tax break responded with "George Bush couldn't stimulate a horny teenager in a dark theater." Okay then. I'm not sure if it will have it's intended effects but I'm through caring for the moment. I'm getting some money. And even though I tend to agree with my sister I can't help but see dollar signs. Sure, not many...but still...
I've never been able to really reap the benefits of a tax break and I'm excitedso for the afternoon anyways I'm left to daydream about what to do with my stimulus package. Uh, yuck, that sounds dirty...

Option 1: Because I want one. It's practical too, which makes it less of a splurge :)

Option 2: Because my tv won't last forever. And when I say forever, I mean it won't last through the digital switch of 2009.

Option 3: Because it's pretty

Option 4: Because I've always wanted this kind of splurge :)

Option 5: Put whatever little amount I get away in savings to keep for a rainy day...
